Bandhavgarh| Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve
The Land Of The Tiger
Five nights and six days at Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, with eight safaris across the Tala, Magdhi and Khitauli zones and expert guidance from wildlife photographer Phillip Ross.
The land Rama gave his brother
The Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is arguably one of the best locations in the world to sight and photograph tigers in their natural habitat, and has one of India’s highest tiger population densities. The park derives its name from a prominent hillock said to have been given by Lord Rama to his brother Lakshmana - “Bandhavgarh”, Brother’s Fort, in Sanskrit.
The reserve’s sal forests are home to Indian leopards, jackals, jungle cats, wild boar, sambar and spotted deer, grey langur and rhesus macaque, alongside birdlife including vultures, storks, the Malabar pied hornbill and paradise flycatchers. This tour spreads eight safaris across four days over the three zones of Tala, Magdhi and Khitauli.
Wildlife photographer Phillip Ross has visited Bandhavgarh since 2010 and will guide you through camera settings, positioning and tiger behaviour throughout the tour.
