The Western Ghats’ richest gem

Nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats, the Bhadra Tiger Reserve is one of India’s richest tiger reserves, and a Southern Indian gem. It is home to tigers, leopards, Asiatic elephants, Indian wild dogs and over 350 species of birds.

We base ourselves at River Tern Lodge, run by Jungle Lodges and Resorts, perched on a hillock on the edge of the Bhadra reservoir near Lakkavali, for four safaris into the reserve.

Wildlife photographer Phillip Ross will guide you through the fundamentals of wildlife photography and animal behaviour across the tour.
