India’s most renowned tiger park

The 282 km² Ranthambhore National Park is one of the best locations in the world to sight and photograph tigers in their natural habitat. Established as the Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955 and declared a Project Tiger reserve in 1973, its dhonk-tree forests also hold Indian leopards, striped hyenas, nilgai, wild boar, sambar, spotted deer, grey langur, rhesus macaque and mugger crocodiles.

The tour runs seven dawn-and-dusk safaris with a fixed driver - the same driver throughout, for better route planning and familiarity with the park.

Phillip Ross, who has led tours here since 2011, guides camera settings, positioning and tiger behaviour across the tour.
